Yesterday I attended DemoCamp, a social where people get together to share their work, get feedback and bat around ideas! It was my firsthand experience with Web 2.0 in the “physical world”. DemoCamp is organized by TorCamp. What is interesting is that this group is in effect a localized physical manifestation of the web 2.0 community. It is another example of how these talented people socially network (in this case face to face, one to many through 15 minute interactive presentations) to explore, share and support each other.
This was a very positive experience and it should be interesting to see how they provide value to those who present and attend these sessions.
